For my Birthday coming up in December I wanted to do something as a gift for others. A lot has changed in my life throughout my 30s. Especially in the last 5 years. It’s been like a life makeover.
I decided I would create a series of blog posts, starting with Part I below, sharing the things that I feel created the biggest changes and improvements in my life. Whether you are in your 40’s, 30’s, 20’s or just graduating from high school, a working mom, stay at home mom, single or an entrepreneur, you can use these tips to give your life a makeover or start fresh on the right foot on your own personal path to achieve your life’s aspirations. Not A Solo Journey
I have not made this journey on my own. If it were not for my faith, my mentors and my favorite bloggers I would not have found these tools and books. I would be in the same rut struggling through life if it were not for them. My gratitude goes to them and I can not thank them enough.
In this Life Makeover Series:
- Having the Right Mindset for Success (Part I – below)
- Getting Back Wasted Time (Part II)
- How to go about Setting Your Goals and Your Family’s Goals (Part III)
- Changing your “To Do List” to a “Success List” (Part IV)
- Scheduling your Day to Get Done what you need to Get Done
- Handling Problems of Work/Life
- Keeping the Romance Alive
- Further Recommended Book List and Podcasts
Part I – The Right Mindset for Success
The main difference between the super successful and the not so successful is their mindset. How you think about life, how you approach life and how you react to life will determine your wins or losses. Even your mindset about failure is crucial. Failure is an inevitable part of life. But how you react to it makes all the difference. If you learn from failure and then get up and try again you will have the chance to succeed. But if you let a failure knock you down and you stay down, you will surely not succeed.
So to start off I want to recommend a book called The Go-Giver that really changed my mindset about Success. And not just success at work but also in my marriage, family life and with society in general, whether it’s the people I meet on the street or on social media.
This book teaches 5 success principles in a storybook form with the main character named Joe. Without risking any spoil alerts, this story follows Joe in his quest for success in business only to discover the true secrets to success in life. To get the most out of this book I would recommend following what Joe did. He applied each success principle the same day that he learned about them. I did this when I first read the book and I saw immediate results.
It’s not a long book. I have already read it several times myself and has been key in my life makeover. The more I read it the more certainty and results I get in applying the principles taught. If you have ever read something in the past that you loved and knew would help you in life but then later forgot to apply it in life, you are not alone. Read it as many times as you need and you will gain more certainty on it and be reminded to apply it in life. The more you apply the data learned will help to make it into a habit that your success can build on.
Go Get It!
You can order The Go Giver from Amazon, pick it up at Barnes and Noble, listen to The Go Giver Audio book free with an Audible trial (as of this writing) or download it onto your Kindle.

I would love to hear about any changes or success you are experiencing in life as a result of reading and applying The Go Giver. So please reach out to me after you read this book.
If you Do Nothing, Expect Nothing
I have received wonderful advice, perspective, knowledge and tools from my Faith and my mentors but if I don’t use and apply what I have learned then nothing changes. So while I could not make this journey alone, I alone am the only one who can change my life and achieve my aspirations by taking action and applying the knowledge I have now learned. It is my belief that this applies to you as well. This blog series was created to point you in a direction that you can take to improve your life but you alone have the power to actually make those changes and achieve your dreams. I wish you the best in this game we call life.
Next in the Series:
In the next post of this series we will delve into eradicating time wasters in your life so that you can get back lost time and use that time for what’s important, your’s and your family’s goals.
Until Next Time!
I hope you enjoyed this post. For further reading check out my earlier post on my friends new book where she reveals the secrets of how it is that French women stay slender while eating some of the best food in the world.
Also if you have been thinking about starting your own Blog to share your own bit of brilliance I highly recommend checking out Suzi’s Course and Free Resources. I would not have been able to set up my Blog with all the bells and whistles if it had not been for her help.
And lastly, feel free to reach out to me with any questions or suggestions on what you would like to read about on my blog in the future.
XOXO
